Self-Hosted means you deploy Replane on your own infrastructure using Docker. You manage updates, backups, and scaling. Startup is our managed cloud—we handle everything for you. Both have the same features, unlimited configs, and unlimited team members.
We believe configuration management should be accessible to all teams. Self-Hosted is free forever under the MIT license. Startup (managed cloud) is also free forever. We monetize through Enterprise plans for organizations needing SAML/SCIM, custom SLAs, and dedicated support.
Yes! You can export your configs and import them into either deployment. Your SDK keys will need to be updated to point to the new endpoint, but the configuration data format is identical between Self-Hosted and Cloud.
No artificial limits. You can create unlimited workspaces, configs, and versions. API rate limits are generous (1000 requests/minute for reads, 100/minute for writes) and can be increased for Enterprise customers.
Replane uses Server-Sent Events (SSE) to push config changes to your applications instantly. When you update a config in the dashboard, all connected SDK clients receive the update within milliseconds—no polling required.
Our SDKs cache the last known configuration locally. If the Replane server becomes unreachable, your application continues running with cached values. When connectivity is restored, updates resume automatically.
Self-Hosted and Startup include GitHub OAuth out of the box. Self-Hosted also supports Okta OAuth. Enterprise adds SAML 2.0 and SCIM for providers like Azure AD, Google Workspace, and OneLogin.
